Figure 4 in Phylogenomics and museomics reveal five distinct species of tiger cats in South America

Abstract

Figure 4. Demographic history of tiger cat units inferred with MSMC2 Dotted lines are effective population sizes estimated from individual samples across 27-time intervals (20 bootstrap replicates, not shown). Solid lines are jointly estimated from multiple unphased genomes per population, offering improved resolution at 32-time intervals. Black, dotted range lines show the Pleistocene Ne (y axis) and the time interval (x axis) used to calculate it (Table 1). Coalescent time was scaled to years using a mutation rate of 8.6 × 10̅ 9 mutations per base pair per generation and a generation time of 3.8 years.32 See also Figure S15 and Tables S2 and S8.
