Abstract

Input data for SHIFT, a spatially resolved techno-economic optimization model of global iron and steel supply chains under decarbonization. SHIFT identifies cost-optimal configurations for mining, hydrogen production, direct reduced iron (DRI) processing, and hot-briquetted iron (HBI) trade, combining a two-stage optimization pipeline with open energy system libraries. While the code is released as free software, different licenses and terms of use apply to the various input data included here. Please refer to the SHIFT repository for details.
