Abstract

Geotermia: primer número de la colección de cómics científicos del Grupo de Investigación Geoenergía del IGME-CSIC dedicado a las geoenergías. De la mano de los personajes Geo y Petra, esta obra de alfabetización geocientífica desarrollada en el contexto del proyecto Gestión Sostenible de Materias Primas Minerales (MPMIN), dentro de su Sección de Geotermia, explora de forma divulgativa y cercana el funcionamiento del calor interno terrestre, sus orígenes, los tipos, los usos, y su papel clave como energía renovable. Además, funciona como una herramienta complementaria de alfabetización, vinculada a un experimento sencillo que ilustra la transformación del calor interno de la Tierra en energía eléctrica. El proyecto fue presentado el 29 de mayo de 2026 en Madrid, en el marco de la 80ª Sesión Científica de la Sociedad Geológica de España, a través de la ponencia titulada « Exploración de vías de alfabetización geocientífica: integración de experimentación, cómic científico e impresión 3D para comunicar geotermia profunda » (programa disponible en https://sge.usal.es/archivos_pdf/80sscientifica_madrid_programa_info_v2.pdf ).
