Minimum Two Principle: Possibility and Support as Conditions of Continuity

Abstract

This conceptual structural contribution introduces the Minimum Two Principle, which proposes that possibility alone is insufficient for stable formation, continuity, or development. For something to become viable, possibility must be accompanied by support. The principle is expressed as a minimum relational condition: possibility + support The work distinguishes between possibility, supported possibility, viability, and continuity, and examines how support may appear as environment, relation, boundary, structure, resource, compatibility condition, or sustaining field. It also introduces failures of support, including absent, insufficient, incompatible, withdrawn, and distorting support. The central claim is: What is possible does not necessarily continue.What continues must be supported. This contribution is presented as a conceptual structural work by Marina A. Popova and may be read in relation to broader structure-first research on cognition, data interpretation, Human-AI interaction, language, formation, and continuity.
