D1.6 Recommendations from VeriFish EAB on the way forward

Abstract

This deliverable describes the VeriFish External Advisory Board (EAB) consultation process and final results aimed at gathering expert recommendations on the exploitation and sustainability of VeriFish results. Following the release of the VeriFish indicator framework, web application, and media products, the EAB was invited to provide feedback on whether the project outcomes are relevant, practical, and aligned with the long-term needs of the different types of stakeholders they represent across the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. This deliverable presents a list of requirements and specifications gathered from EAB insights and recommendations to explore needs and expectations. The insights collected from the EAB guide the finalisation of the project’s sustainability and exploitation strategy, ensuring that VeriFish results continue to deliver value beyond the project’s lifetime and contribute to more transparent, responsible, and sustainable aquafood systems in Europe and beyond.
