Net-Zero and Circular Economy Federation: Evidence-based Policy Roadmap for Carbon-Aware Compute in the Built Environment (NETZERO)

Abstract

Final report of the NETZERO project, presenting an evidence-based policy roadmap for embedding sustainability within federated compute and data services. The report introduces a Harmonised Sustainability Vocabulary, a 124-KPI National Sustainability Framework, governance recommendations, the SustainFed decision-support platform, and a transferable engagement toolkit to support carbon-aware computing within the UK's National Federated Compute Services (NFCS).
