
Polygaloides Haller Chamaebuxus (DC.) Spach, nom. illeg. Arbustos o subarbustos. Hojas alternas, subcoriáceas, a veces caducas. Flores solitarias o en racimos paucifloros, axilares o terminales. Sépalos libres, caedizos, membranáceos; alas petaloides, caedizas. Pétalos superiores de la misma longitud o más cortos que la quilla, soldados a la base del tubo estaminal; quilla crestada; cresta plurilobada o fimbriada. Estambres fértiles 8. Cápsula membranácea, alada. Semillas carunculadas, pelosas.
