Physical Trust at the Digital-Physical Boundary

Authors: Braun, Niclas;

Physical Trust at the Digital-Physical Boundary

Abstract

This independent research report develops an information-theoretic and decision-theoretic framework for verification at the digital-physical boundary. It defines the physical trust gap, presents a mechanism-neutral reference architecture, and proposes candidate assurance levels, evaluation requirements, and a governance pathway for a Physical Trust Assurance Standard (PTAS). The report is conceptual, has not been peer reviewed, and does not disclose proprietary implementation details or claim current product deployment.
