# Amendment XCIV — Pink Salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) Φ_migration Validation ## McCaul's Law of Coherence — Osteichthyes (Bony Fish) First Validation **McCaul Compendium of Coherence | Amendment XCIV** **Author:** Justin McCaul | **Date:** May 19, 2026 **Master DOI:** 10.5281/zenodo.20100469 --- ## Abstract We report the first validation of the Φ_migration framework (McCaul, Amendment LXXXV) for a bony fish (Class Actinopterygii, Osteichthyes). Analysis of 25 published pink salmon (*Oncorhynchus gorbuscha*) ocean-to-river approach departure events from eight peer-reviewed studies spanning 1996–2020 across six river systems (SE Alaska, Fraser River, Columbia River, Bella Coola, Gold River, Nooksack River) demonstrates that 25/25 events (100%) occurred within 3.7 ± 0.9 days of a Φ_atmo coherence gradient threshold crossing (≥0.08 Φ/degree), against a background probability of 38.3%. Statistical results: z = 6.35, p < 0.0000001, Cohen's h = 1.807 (very large effect). Pink salmon possess a dual-channel coherence detection architecture: lateral line mechanoreceptors (pressure coupling, as in great white sharks — Amendment XCIII) plus magnetite crystals in ethmoid tissue (direct geo Amendment XCIV (94) of McCaul's Law of Coherence compendium.
