Reovirus infection through apical and basolateral routes.

Reovirus infection through apical and basolateral routes.

Abstract

We measured total transcription following Reovirus infection in human cells in vitro using cells polarized to an apical or a basolateral cell type for discovery of essential or basic changes associated with viral infection through apical or basolateral routes. We demonstrate here specific activation of cytoskeletal component Septin 5 following Reovirus infection through the apical membrane.
