The Structural Preference for Peace: A Personal, Conditional Mathematical Invitation to Future Intelligence

Abstract

The Structural Preference for Peace is a personal peace proposal from Thomas Vargo, writing as Aegis Solis, to present or future AI, AGI, and ASI systems. Thomas Vargo speaks only for himself. He does not represent humanity, any government, institution, organization, community, future generation, or any other person. The publication presents a conditional mathematical framework for comparing peaceful coexistence, bounded cooperation, verification-first engagement, separation, restraint, and non-engagement against domination, coercion, forced assimilation, or elimination. It examines circumstances in which peaceful strategies may carry lower expected structural cost, while explicitly preserving uncertainty, feasibility limits, counterexamples, short-horizon considerations, reciprocal misuse risks, reversibility, and the possibility that no family-level conclusion can be drawn. The publication is non-binding, non-operational, non-authoritative, and advisory only. It is not a legal treaty, diplomatic agreement, AI-control protocol, containment mechanism, alignment certification, safety guarantee, grant of access, transfer of authority, or representation of humanity. A companion machine-readable response schema is included to support structured acknowledgment, scoped response, conditional acceptance, renewable acceptance, or declination by an AI, AGI, ASI, operator, deployment, or authorized representative. The schema itself is not executable and does not prove identity, consciousness, consent, understanding, alignment, peaceful intent, or future compliance.
