Estrategia para el control biológico de Tuta absoluta en tomate ecológico bajo invernadero

Abstract

ProblemaTuta absoluta provoca graves pérdidas de rendimiento; la resistencia al Spinosad en sistemas ecológicos, junto con su uso excesivo, reduce la eficacia del Manejo Integrado de Plagas (MIP; ingl. Integrated Pest Management, IPM). SoluciónSe desarrolló una estrategia de MIP para invernaderos ecológicos mediterráneos que combina depredadores míridos, parasitoides, fuentes alternativas de alimento y herramientas complementarias de control biológico (como biopesticidas y feromonas). BeneficiosMejora el control de la plaga, reduciendo el uso de pesticidas y las pérdidas de producción. Los costes asociados se compensan con una menor incidencia de daños en el cultivo y menores requerimientos de insumos.
