Digital Tools for Biodiversity Enhancement through Participatory Planning under the SETS framework: A Systematic Review

Abstract

This dataset consists of (1) Table Z1. Frequency and percentage of accessed studies under the analytical framework. It provides the assessment results of 26 empirical studies, which are structured under three dimensions: Social Participation, Ecological Framing and Technological Outcomes; (2) Table Z2. Selected 20 digital tools for the social-ecological-technological (SET) assessment. This table presents data on the selected 19 digital tools from the literature review, including general Information of tools, and collected application details according to the definition of each factor under the Social, Ecological and Technological Pillars; (3) Table Z3. Evaluation results for the SET relevance level of the 20 digital tools. Each tool is assessed for its relevance to each pillar, from low to high, according to the relevance-level definitions for tools under the Social, Ecological, and Technological Pillars. Each tool finally receives an overall SET relevance score classified as follows: high, when at least two of the four pillars were rated as high, and none were low; low, when two or more pillars were low; medium, all other combinations that did not meet the criteria for high or low.
