This Excel workbook contains the processed dataset used to generate the EV and EVCS deployment figures in Section 2 of the paper "Impact of Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations on the Electric Grid: Lessons Learnt and Challenges," submitted to MDPI Smart Cities. (DOI : to provide) Publicly available data on EVs, EVCSs, electricity consumption, population and country area were collected and harmonized for the period 2013–2023. The workbook includes source acknowledgements, processed indicators, and the plots used in the manuscript. Derived indicators include EV electricity consumption, EV/EVCS ratio, EVCS density by population and area, and fast/slow EVCS ratio and are more extensivley discussed and analysed in the Smart Cities paper. The dataset is provided to support traceability and reproducibility of the deployment-index analysis.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
