Evaluación morfológica y agronómica de genotipos de tarwi (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet) de los Andes del norte del Perú

Abstract

El tarwi (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet), pertenece a la familia fabaceae, se adapta en diferentes zonas climáticas, el grano posee alto contenido proteico de importancia en la alimentación. El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar las características morfológicas y agronómicas de genotipos de L. mutabilis bajo condiciones de la Jalca, Amazonas, Perú. Para ello, se evaluaron dos variedades y cuatro genotipos provenientes de los agricultores del distrito de La Jalca. Se emplearon 64 caracteres morfo-agronómicos bajo un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 4 repeticiones. Los caracteres agronómicos y de producción evaluados en el presente estudio mostraron diferencias significativas entre los genotipos que mostraron mayores valores con respecto a las variedades de tarwi. El rendimiento de semilla registró alta correlación con seis caracteres agronómicos y seis caracteres cuantitativos. Estos hallazgos podrían permitir emplearlos a futuro para la selección de genotipos de tarwi con mayor rendimiento de grano.
