
The BEYOND Best Practices Manual explains the main concepts, scope, and structure of the BEYOND approach to preventing and addressing research misconduct and shows how it complements the BEYOND Guidelines for Preventing and Addressing Research Misconduct. It introduces the core terms adopted from the Guidelines, outlines the rationale for focusing on research misconduct (RM), contestable research practices (CRPs), research ethics (RE), and research integrity (RI), and guides readers on how to navigate the Manual’s subsequent chapters.
