Abstract

Oggi l’Europa sembra conoscere solo il linguaggio del riarmo: ha la guerra in testa. La diplomazia tace e la politica si eclissa, mentre l’emergenza militare domina il discorso pubblico. Questo pamphlet denuncia la penetrazione della frenesia bellica nel nostro immaginario e nella nostra mentalità, svelando come abbia alterato percezioni, relazioni e politiche. Attraverso un’analisi culturale e sociologica, il testo smaschera la normalizzazione della guerra come risposta automatica alle crisi globali, mostrando come termini, concetti e narrazioni militariste deformino la realtà e anestetizzino la coscienza critica. L’Europa della pace si è trasformata in una fortezza, materiale non meno che simbolica. In un’epoca segnata dall’assuefazione alla minaccia e dall’esaltazione della “resilienza” come virtù bellica, questo libro lancia un appello radicale: disarmare il linguaggio per ricostruire un’antropologia della convivenza. Contro il ritorno delle “virtù guerriere” come fondamento del legame sociale, auspicato da certi intellettuali, è urgente ripensare il futuro partendo dalla mitezza dei giusti, dall’apertura all’altro e dal ripudio della guerra.
