Semantic Scaffolding and the Emergence of the Semantic Mesh: Toward a Framework for Universal Search Optimization (USO 3.0)

Authors: MacFarland, Anthony;

Semantic Scaffolding and the Emergence of the Semantic Mesh: Toward a Framework for Universal Search Optimization (USO 3.0)

Abstract

Version 6.0. Substantive edition. Adds the Versioned Machine-Readable Entity Manifest (vMEM) as a co-equal construct; separates the framework into an entity-side technical framework (Part I) and a normative ecosystem-accountability proposal (Part II); adds explicit falsifiability and failure conditions, a claim-type-conditional verification rule, manifest-authenticity requirements, and a matched-pair evaluation protocol; restates the empirical foundations against primary peer-reviewed and preprint sources and corrects their characterization. Includes a companion one-page Operating Model. Supersedes v5 (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18445869). Licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Keywords

vMEM, Search Engine/methods, Knowledge Infrastructure, answer synthesis, Semantic Mesh, Semantic Scaffolding, Mesh Architecture, trust modeling, knowledge graphs, machine-mediated discovery, Entity Persistence, answer engine optimization
