EOSC & Research Infrastructures - Opportunities and Strategies - Policy Workshop - Highlights Report

Abstract

This document highlights the key points that emerged from the Policy Workshop on 'EOSC and Research Infrastructures: Opportunities and Strategies' organized by the ESFRI–EOSC Task Force on March 16-17, 2026, in Milano. The workshop addressed the critical issues in linking European Research Infrastructures (RIs) and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). About 90 participants, from Research Infrastructure, EOSC nodes, EOSC-SB, EOSC-A and EC, discussed the progress of convergence between RIs and EOSC Federation highlighting success stories as well as weaknesses in the process. The following points are a synthesis of the main issues, progresses and criticalities emerged in the two-day workshop.
