AI Robotics – From Perception to Action

Abstract

An overview of the development of modern AI robotics in recent years, featuring insights into Vision Language Action Models (VLAs), how they work, practical experiences, current open-source stacks such as LeRobot, what can currently be done with them, and the question of where AI robotics might be headed in the coming years. The presentation also addresses how to start with VLAs, open source robotics (SO100/101 robot arm) and HuggingFace LeRobot.
