
This paper explores wellness and spiritual tourism through the perspective of an experienced yoga practitioner and retreat facilitator. Drawing on practitioner observations, field experience, and sector reflection, it examines how integrity, professional identity, cultural transmission, sustainability, and participant expectations intersect within contemporary wellness tourism. The paper contributes a practitioner-informed perspective to the Wellness & Spiritual Tourism Integrity Framework (WSTIF) research series and highlights challenges and opportunities facing wellness professionals operating within tourism ecosystems.
