Harmonized multi-model CONUS forest carbon assessment (FVS, LANDIS-II, CBM/GCBM, yield curves, CEM)

Abstract

New version of the PERSEUS intercomparison (concept 10.5281/zenodo.20516949). Five independent forest-carbon models run on one common pipeline anchored to FIA 2025, four harvest scenarios, common HWP. Includes the team report, the model x state x scenario inventory and stress results, the cross-model divergence, the weighted ensemble with geometric-mean and median central estimates, the libcbm FIA-expansion calibration decision and the measured GCBM-vs-libcbm engine gap, and the PERSEUS resolution/strata analysis (spatial, temporal, per-owner). Three-model CONUS backbone (FVS, yield curves, CBM) is complete for 48 states; CEM, LANDIS, and GCBM coverage are expanding.
