Abstract

This repository is for the paper "Updated Predictions for Vera C. Rubin Observatory Ultracool Dwarf Parallaxes" by John E. Gizis, et al. It is associated with the manuscript number RNAAS AAS77780. volumes.ecsv gives the total volume (in cubic parsecs) calculated by the metric for the key simulations discussed in the Note. notebooks.zip includes all Jupyter notebooks. There is one for each simulation plus notebooks to make the final figures and datatable BrownDwarfs.zip includes the numpy array metric HEALpix outputs based on the full ten-year survey for all simulations. BrownDwarfsYear2.zip includes the numpy array metric HEALpix outputs based on the first two years only for various simulations. There are two plots included. results_allLT_nexp2.txt contains V1.7 simulation results from a previous paper (Gizis et al., 2022, ApJS, 263, 23) included for re-running the notebooks. The same information is in the file volumes.ecsv Note that the notebooks require software (rubin_sim) and databases available from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.
