This report synthesises findings from 13 peer-reviewed papers addressing the following research question: What is the impact of scaling model parameters on the anomaly detection accuracy of masked modeling versus contrastive objectives in time-series foundation models. 11 claims were extracted from source literature; 10 were independently verified against retrieved documents.
