Abstract

Der Text entwickelt eine Fundamentalkritik der gegenwärtigen Neuropsychologie, die Bewusstsein weitgehend unter ein materialistisch‑neuroreduktionistisches Paradigma stellt und damit den Status subjektiven Erlebens unterminiert. Ausgehend von der historischen Orientierung der Psychologie an externen Leitdisziplinen (Physik, Kybernetik, Computer­metapher, Neurowissenschaften) wird gezeigt, wie der Mensch zunehmend als „zerebrales Subjekt“ verstanden und auf Gehirnprozesse verkürzt wird. Dem werden drei Linien gegenübergestellt: Erstens wird mit Nagel, Chalmers und Jackson herausgearbeitet, dass das Qualia‑Problem – die Eigenart subjektiver Erlebnisgehalte – mit rein objektiven Hirnbeschreibungen prinzipiell nicht lösbar ist. Zweitens kritisiert Habermas’ Konzept des szientistischen Selbstmissverständnisses neurowissenschaftliche Deutungen, die aus Dritte‑Person‑Daten vorschnell Erste‑Person‑Phänomene wie Willensfreiheit und Verantwortung „weginterpretieren“. Drittens wird der Neuroreduktionismus als kategoriale Verwechslung von Gehirn und Person analysiert und durch eine leiblich‑ökologische Sichtweise (Fuchs’ Gehirn als Beziehungsorgan) kontrastiert. Unter Rückgriff auf Felix Haslers Kritik des „Neurohypes“ und Fuchs’ relationale Konzeption wird argumentiert, dass Bewusstsein sinnvoll nur als Phänomen gelebter Subjektivität in Weltbezügen verstanden werden kann. Die zentrale These lautet: Ohne eine philosophisch reflektierte, nicht‑reduktionistische Erweiterung droht die Neuropsychologie selbst zur „Neuromythologie“ zu werden.
