God Was Already Here: The Complete Spiritual Architecture of African Peoples Before the Interruption

Abstract

Before the missionaries arrived, God was already here. Across the African continent, from the Yoruba of West Africa to the Maasai of the East, a complete spiritual and philosophical architecture existed long before colonial encounter. It was not primitive. It was not incomplete. It required no foreign text to be whole. This book calls that architecture the Original Sufficiency — and documents it with rigour, care, and love. Drawing on six foundational pillars — the Non-Tribal Creator, Ancestral Continuity, Natural Law, the Healer-Diviner, Relational Ontology, and Sacred Ecology — and tracing their survival through the Atlantic slave trade and into the diaspora, this book profiles six of the tradition's most important intellectual keepers: Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa, Cheikh Anta Diop, Wangari Maathai, Steve Biko, John S. Mbiti, and Zora Neale Hurston. General Reader Edition. Published by The Ancestral Sufficiency Project, Helsingborg, Sweden. Full book found on Amazon
