Diagnosis. Carapace, surface granulated, without serrated dorsomedian line or teeth; ocular lobe not observed; pseudorostrum long; siphonal tube (branchial siphon) very long, as long as carapace, even in juv. and subadult stages. Pleonite 5 slightly longer than the other pleonites. Uropod, endopod bi-articulated, distal article half as long as proximal (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 1994). Distribution. Southern Ocean, 20–2077 m depth (Mühlenhardt-Siegel 1994, 2011 a).
