M 48/1-340-1, 18°18.3'S, 04°41.3'E to 18°19.4'S, 04°41.9'E (- 18.28822, 4.68683; - 18.32237, 4.69722); 5395 (5419–5443) m depth; 22 July 2000; Angelika Brandt & J. Wolfgang Wägele leg.; epibenthic sledge; ZMH -K-067060.Remarks.Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2005 c) did not explicitly designate a particular lot as a paratype in the publication; she only includes the sentence “ description of appendages based on paratype male ”. This specimen corresponds to a dissected male from stat. 350, which together with three specimens (same station) and animals from stat. 340 is listed as “ material ” in the publication; a single collection number was assigned to all of them (ZMH -K-040664). Reviewing the collection holdings, we found an additional juvenile female from stat. 338 (same data as holotype) marked as paratype in the catalogue book, index cards, and original labels. This specimen is not listed by Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2005 c) but represents an additional paratype. Based on this, we include the paratype designation to all material, specimens from stat. 338 retain the original collection number assigned by Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2005 c), whereas material from stat. 350 and stat. 340 were assigned to new collection numbers (see below). Two additional lots deposited in SMF might represent additional paratypes (SMF 30273, SMF 30274).Diagnosis.Carapace, anteroventral margin little serrate; pseudorostrum, long and acute; antennal notch shallow, not distinct. Pereopod 2, basis longer than rest of appendage (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2005 c).Distribution.Southeast Atlantic, Angola Basin, 5389–5398 m depth.
