Platytyphlops carpusserratus (Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 2005)described as Paralamprops; revised by Gerken (2018).Holotype.South Atlantic Ocean • subA. ♀; Angola Basin, Diva I exped., FS Meteor stat. M 48/1-318-1; 22°20.0'S, 03°18.3'E to 22°20.2'S, 03°18.4'E [- 22.33297, 3.30567; - 22.33747, 3.30732]; 5125–5144 [5179–5180] m depth; 09 July 2000; Angelika Brandt & J. Wolfgang Wägele leg.; epibenthic sledge; ZMH -K-040420.Paratype.* • ♂; Angola Basin, DIVA I exped., FS Meteor stat. M 48/1-340-1; l 8°18.3'S, 04°41.3'E to 18°19.4'S, 04°41.9'E [- 18.28822, 4.68683; - 18.32237, 4.69722] 5395 [5419] m depth; 22 July 2000; Ute Mühlenhardt-Siegel, leg.; epibenthic sledge; ZMH -K-040421.Diagnosis.Carapace in dorsal view nearly circular with crenulated lateral margin; crenulation of lateral carina equal in size from the anterior to the posterior part. Antenna 1, accessory flagellum with 3 articles, last one tiny (female). Pereopod 2, carpus serrate. Pereopod 5 shorter than basis of pereopod 4. Uropod, exopod’s tip reaching middle of distal article of endopod (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2005 a).Distribution.Southeast Atlantic, Angola Basin, 5125–5395 m depth.
