Abstract

Makrokylindrus striatus Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 2005Holotype.South Atlantic Ocean • ovig. ♀; Angola Basin, DIVA I exped., FS Meteor stat. M 48/1-340-1; 18°18.3'S, 04°41.3'E to 18°19.4'S, 04°41.9'E [- 18.28822, 4.68683; - 18.32237, 4.69722]; 5395 [5419–5443] m depth; 22 July 2000; Angelika Brandt & J. Wolfgang Wägele leg.; epibenthic sledge; damaged specimen; ZMH -K-040852.Diagnosis.Carapace without teeth; pseudorostrum with teeth just below the tip; pseudorostral lobes with two additional teeth. Antenna 1, article 1 with 1 tooth distally. Maxilliped 3, merus with 1 tooth. Pereopod 1, basis with 10 teeth. Pereopod 2, basis and ischium with 1 tooth each. Telson, preanal part twice as long as postanal part, the latter with at least four pairs of lateral setae (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2005 b).Distribution.Southeast Atlantic, Angola Basin, 5395 m depth.
