Abstract

Dimorphostylis maledivensis Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 1996Holotype.Maldives • ♂; South of the Island Jetty, Embudu, South Male Atoll; stat. 1; 21 m depth; 02 March 1994; Ute Mühlenhardt-Siegel & Volker Siegel leg.; on sandy bottom within a sandeel colony of the sandeel Gorgasia sp.; legs mounted on two permanent slides; ZMH -K-038055.Remarks.Mühlenhardt-Siegel (1996 a) declared one paratype deposited at the ZMA (ZMA Cu.202.082).Diagnosis.Telson relatively short comparing to uropod’s peduncle, with two pairs of lateral spines. Uropod exopod shorter than endopod. Antenna 1, accessory flagellum 1 rather long (Mühlenhardt-Siegel 1996 a).Distribution.West Indian Ocean, Maldives Islands, 21 m depth.
