Abstract

The Job Portal System is a web-based recruitment platform developed to bridge the gap between job seekers and recruiters by providing a centralized environment for job searching and hiring. The system is designed with two primary user roles: Student and Recruiter. Students can register, create profiles, upload resumes, search for job opportunities, and apply for suitable positions. Recruiters can register, create company profiles, post job vacancies, review applications, and manage the recruitment process efficiently. A key feature of the system is its real-time email verification mechanism, which enhances security and ensures the authenticity of users. During registration, users receive a verification email containing an OTP or verification link. The account is activated only after successful verification, preventing fake registrations and unauthorized access. The platform provides role-based access control, secure authentication, job posting and application management, resume handling, and advanced job search capabilities. Built using modern web technologies such as React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, the system offers a responsive, scalable, and user-friendly experience. The Job Portal simplifies the recruitment workflow, improves communication between students and recruiters, and provides an efficient solution for online job placement and talent acquisition.
