DISCURSO OFICIAL E VIDA COTIDIANA: O IMIGRANTE NOS PROCESSOS CRIMINAIS DE MALLET (1913–1940)

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo refletir acerca do discurso oficial sobre imigração no Paraná e as práticas cotidianas registradas nos processos criminais envolvendo imigrantes em Mallet - PR, entre 1913 e 1940. A partir de 52 inquéritos policiais e processos criminais do Fundo do Judiciário do Centro de Documentação e Memória da Unicentro - campus de Irati-PR, examinamos como os estrangeiros, majoritariamente poloneses e ucranianos, apareceram como vítimas, acusados e testemunhas, revelando dinâmicas de violências, estratégias de defesa, laços de solidariedade, tensões interétnicas e sociabilidades que, em partes, se opõem à imagem produzida pelo Estado sobre o imigrante. Buscamos demonstrar que os crimes constituem importante via para compreender interações sociais, conflitos e mecanismos de ajustamento às normas da sociedade de acolhida. Dessa forma, observamos que a vida cotidiana dos imigrantes foi marcada por disputas, embates e negociações, muitas vezes silenciadas pelos discursos governamentais que buscavam produzir normas e uma identidade civilizatória para o Paraná.
