What's driving the growing demand for specialty gases in semiconductor manufacturing?

Abstract

With the rapid growth of advanced electronics, AI hardware, and semiconductor manufacturing, specialty gases seem to be playing an increasingly important role in production processes. I recently came across projections showing strong long-term growth in the nitrogen trifluoride market, which made me wonder how industry professionals see demand evolving over the next decade. What factors are driving the increased use of specialty gases in semiconductor manufacturing? Could advances in chip production accelerate demand even further? What challenges might the industry face in balancing growth, efficiency, and environmental concerns? Interested in hearing perspectives from people working in semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, and industrial gases.
