THE IMPORTANCE OF LATIN IN PRESCRIPTION WRITING

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of the Latin language in prescription writing and its role in the fields of medicine and pharmacy. It analyzes the use of Latin as an international standard language in prescription writing, as well as its significance in clearly defining drug names, dosages, and methods of administration. In addition, information is provided about Latin terms and abbreviations used in prescriptions and their role in medical practice. The article highlights that knowledge of Latin helps medical students and doctors correctly understand prescriptions, prescribe medications without errors, and comply with international pharmaceutical standards. Furthermore, it emphasizes the role of Latin in ensuring accuracy, safety, and unified medical communication in prescription writing.
