PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR: MOTIVATION, TYPOLOGICAL PROFILES, AND MECHANISMS OF AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR

Abstract

Psychological determinants of criminal behavior are formed under the complex interaction of the individual's psychological characteristics, the social environment, and biological factors. This research focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the primary motivational factors that trigger crime, the internal mechanisms of aggressive behavior, and the typological profiles of offenders. The study thoroughly examines the primary motives determining destructive behavior: antisocial needs, an individual's frustrational resilience, and the level of self-control. Additionally, various psychological profiles were identified to identify criminogenic risk groups, and their comparative characteristics were revealed. Research findings confirm that aggression is not merely a situational reaction, but rather a product of cognitive disorders and destructive attitudes. The conclusions obtained serve as an important scientific basis for improving psychological prevention programs and developing rehabilitation measures aimed at preventing dangerous trends.
