Remote sensing-based screening assessment of carbon storage and ecosystem service changes along the Xi'an-Yan'an high-speed railway corridor

Abstract

Folder contents: manuscript/ PeerJ LaTeX manuscript source, compiled PDF, bibliography, figures, supplementary CSV tables and cover-letter/checklist files. The LaTeX class uses the PeerJ template default natbib + apalike author-year reference style. gis/ Verified railway centerline and buffer-zone GIS materials, including notes on the OSM-based railway alignment workflow. gee/ Google Earth Engine scripts used to export Dynamic World LULC rasters, buffer-zone rasters and climate/soil summaries. gee_exports/ Google Earth Engine exported raster and table products provided by the user and used as local model inputs. xiyan_model_calculation/ Local calculation package, including inputs, scripts, outputs, figures and tabular results for LULC accuracy assessment, LULC transition summaries, screening-level carbon storage, habitat quality, water-yield proxy, soil-conservation index, ecosystem-service coupling, forest-cropland transition audit, water/soil parameter sensitivity analysis and 2035 Markov scenario screening. Important limitation: This archive supports the current screening-level manuscript. The manuscript explicitly states that confidence would be further improved by a higher-accuracy 2016 baseline, targeted Sentinel-2/Google Earth validation of forest-cropland transition hotspots, calibrated InVEST raster outputs and a formal PLUS scenario simulation. The supplemental data tables now extend to Data S1-S16.
