Inaugural SRS Virtual Medical Student Research Symposium 2026: Book of Abstracts

Inaugural SRS Virtual Medical Student Research Symposium 2026: Book of Abstracts

Abstract

This record contains the final abstract book for the inaugural SRS Virtual Medical Student Research Symposium 2026, held virtually on 6 June 2026. The symposium was organised by the Surgical Research Society and directed by Mr Khurram S Khan, with Mr Daryll Baker as President of the Surgical Research Society. The abstract book includes the symposium programme, faculty and judging information, prize and progression details, and accepted oral abstract presentations across four parallel sessions. Abstracts were submitted through the symposium abstract submission system, reviewed by the organising faculty using agreed academic criteria, and allocated to parallel oral presentation sessions. The abstracts are reproduced for educational and dissemination purposes. Abstract content remains the responsibility of the named authors. Inclusion in this abstract book indicates acceptance for presentation at the SRS Virtual Medical Student Research Symposium 2026 and should not be interpreted as peer-reviewed journal publication.
