
Rosa sp.Fig. 8 A – FMaterial.UMJ 79254, UMJ 79255, UMJ 79256, UMJ 79258, UMJ 79259, UMJ 79260, UMJ 79520, UMJ 80201, UMJ 80222, UMJ 222041.Description.Detached leaflets and compound leaf; leaf fragment comprising rachis with two attached leaflets, rachis 25 + mm long, leaf base widened, appearing winged (possible remnants of stipules), attached leaflets with short petiole, lamina elliptic, base and apex acute, 13 and 22 mm long, 8 and 18 mm wide, primary venation pinnate, secondary venation brochidodromous, margin toothed, teeth with sigmoid basal side and concave or convex much shorter apical side; additional isolated leaflets 20–40 mm long, 18–25 mm wide, lamina base sometimes slightly asymmetrical.Discussion.Similar detached leaves of Rosa have also been reported from Sarmatian leaf assemblages of Hungary (e. g., Andreánszky 1959; Bánhorváti).
