
This article examines the role of English language learning in developing students’ creative thinking skills. In the modern educational environment, creativity has become one of the most important competencies required for academic achievement, professional success, and lifelong learning. As globalization and technological advancements continue to transform society, educational institutions are increasingly expected to foster innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities among students. English language learning provides a productive platform for nurturing these skills through communicative activities, collaborative tasks, creative writing, project-based learning, and critical discussions. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach to explore various methods of integrating creativity into English language instruction. It analyzes the pedagogical value of learner-centered activities that encourage imagination, originality, flexibility, and independent thinking. The article also discusses the relationship between language acquisition and creative cognitive processes, emphasizing how English language classrooms can become environments for idea generation and self-expression. The findings indicate that appropriately designed language-learning activities contribute significantly to the development of students’ creative potential. The article concludes that integrating creativity-oriented methods into English language teaching enhances both linguistic competence and higher-order thinking skills.
