The Ghadir Document: Quran 5:67, the Wilaya Declaration, and the Constitutional Founding of Islamic Succession (10 AH / 632 CE)

Abstract

SCRA Foundational Jurisprudence Series No. 3. The Ghadir Khumm event (18 Dhu al-Hijja 10 AH / March 632 CE) read as a constitutional document through its Quranic envelope: Quran 5:67 (before: 'O Messenger, deliver what has been revealed...') and Quran 5:3 (after: 'Today I have perfected your religion...'). Four constitutional provisions: Succession, Obligation, Completion, Protection. The Hadith al-Ghadir's authentication in Sunni collections (Musnad Ahmad; al-Tirmidhi: hasan sahih; Madelung: 'beyond doubt authentic') establishes that suppression operates at the register level, not the historical fact level.
