Understanding the meaning of the words used in the text is a crucial component of reading comprehension. Because they come across literature on a regular basis, especially in exams, kids are more acquainted with reading comprehension. Students are forced to deal with a lot of new English vocabulary as a result of this circumstance, which makes it difficult for them to understand the message. Thus, it is crucial to help pupils enhance their understanding by helping them deduce word meaning from context. The Context Clue Strategy is a method or approach that uses the words themselves, with guidance from the text, to infer the meaning of words. The research is to assess the views of 11th-grade students at Dong Hy High School on the use of the Context Clue Strategy, as well as the present level of reading comprehension and the effects of applying it on enhancing reading comprehension. A mixed-method quasi-experimental approach was used in this investigation. For comparison, the students were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. Three instruments were used to gather quantitative data: questionnaires, post-tests, and pre-tests. Qualitative information on students' attitudes about using the Context Clue Strategy in reading comprehension was acquired via interviews. The findings showed that pupils' reading comprehension improved when contextual cues were included.
