Abstract

This article highlights the pedagogical possibilities and importance of developing emotional intelligence (EQ) in preparing future teacher students for professional activity. The study analyzes the issues of forming students' emotional competencies in the higher education system, increasing their professional flexibility, stress resistance, and pedagogical communication culture. The article substantiates the interrelationship of the components of the emotional intelligence model with the professional skills of the teacher and puts forward methodological recommendations for improving the system of training future specialists
