Abstract

This report synthesises findings from 11 peer-reviewed papers addressing the following research question: How do different backdoor defense mechanisms in contrastive vision-language models compare in terms of accuracy and inference latency when evaluated on standard multimodal benchmarks like VCR or VQAv2. 10 claims were extracted from source literature; 9 were independently verified against retrieved documents. An automated multi-reviewer quality assessment produced a score of 8.3/10.
