engrave2svg v1.0.2: Graph-Theoretic Analysis and Null-Model Framework for Blombos Engraved Ochre

Abstract

This archive contains version 1.0.2 of the engrave2svg software framework and associated reproducibility materials used for graph-theoretic analysis of engraved geometric motifs, including the Blombos engraved ochre net-template study. Contents include: SVG graph extraction and topology analysis tools Random, lozenge, and bisected-lozenge control generators Null-model comparison and significance testing scripts Manual SVG traces used in analysis Metrics and comparison outputs Reproducibility archive accompanying the manuscript The software converts traced line motifs into graph representations and computes orientation, connectivity, cycle, triangle, four-cycle, lozenge, and bisected-lozenge metrics. Synthetic control networks are generated and compared against observed motifs using empirical null-model testing. This release corresponds to the analyses reported in the revised Blombos engraved ochre net-template study and is intended to support computational reproducibility and independent verification.
