Preparation and analysis of natural perfume using steam Distillation

Abstract

Abstract: Steam distillation is the most used technique for extracting essential oils because of its ease of use and low cost. Technological advancements offer a huge chance to enhance this aspect of essential oil production because of the significance of this extraction approach. We undertook a technological prospection in this study to assess how such upgrades have been used to the manufacturing of essential oils. A total of 490 patent papers were retrieved, and factors such as publication patterns, the primary depositing nations and potential markets for the inventions, the primary applicants and inventors of the prospective technologies, and the categorization codes assigned to the patent documents were assessed. The findings showed that steam distillation is a significant industrial process that has been expanding recently and that it is utilized by various industries. Regarding related technological advancements, we found that only a few patent documents mentioned their application, suggesting that procedures could still be researched and integrated into the technology. Therefore, the development of research to enhance this procedure may further add to its apparent growth.
