Abstract

This repository contains the data products and codes associated with the study by Rosu et al., "Large-scale modelled impacts of the 2025 Canadian wildfires". In support of the State of Wildfires 2025-26 report, in this work, we investigate the large-scale atmospheric effects of the 2025 Canadian wildfire season using EC-Earth3 Earth System Model (EC-Earth3-AerChem configuration, FORCes branch [1-2]). Two sets of simulations (with 10 members each) are included: one accounting for wildfire emissions (CF) and one without them (CN). Wildfire emissions are based on the GFAS dataset (Kaiser et al. [3-4]), while natural and anthropogenic emissions follow van Noije et al. [2,5]. For a more detailed description of the methodology used, refer to Rosu et al., “Large-scale modelled impacts of the 2025 Canadian wildfires”. Further details on the data products included in the current repository are in README.txt. References [1] Döscher et al.
