
Gastronomic terminology occupies a significant place in modern linguisticand cultural studies because culinary vocabulary reflects not only food-relatedconcepts but also the historical, social, and cultural identity of nations. In thecontext of globalization and intercultural communication, gastronomic terms havebecome an important component of international discourse, media communication,tourism, and translation studies. This article investigates the cultural and linguisticfeatures of gastronomic terminology and analyzes the semantic, lexical, andsociocultural characteristics of culinary vocabulary. Special attention is devoted tothe influence of globalization, linguistic borrowing, and intercultural interaction onthe development of gastronomic terminology. The research also examines the roleof gastronomic language in preserving cultural identity and promoting interculturalunderstanding.
