FIGURE 6. Differences in distal humeral morphology between Furipterus horrens (left) and Natalus stramineus (right) as seen in anterior view with lateral toward the right side of the figure; see text for discussion: (a/a′) shape and development of the spinous process (larger and more trapezoidal in Furipterus); (b/b′) development of the epitrochlea (less expanded mediolaterally in Furipterus); and (c/c′) development of the posterior surface of the lateral ridge of the capitulum (posterior surface expanded over the lateral border of a well-developed radial fossa in Furipterus).
