Hermacha curvipes Purcell, 1902Figure 45A–DHermacha curvipes Purcell, 1902: 377; Tucker, 1917: 106.Purcell (1902) described Hermacha curvipes Purcell, 1902, based on two males from Simonstown, Cape Peninsula. No diagnosis for the species was provided, but the description is relatively detailed. The type male (SAM-ENW-X006011) was examined for this study. The female allotype could not be found. The examination revealed the presence of a recurved fovea, tibia I armed with strong spines but without a megaspine (fig. 45D), a continuous line of cheliceral teeth with several denticles, pedipalp tibia with an apophysis on the posterior side of the ventral excavation (fig. 45A, B), and a distinct copulatory bulb shape (fig. 45C). All these characters differ from Hermacha as well as all other currently described genera.
